The South Arlesburian famine of 1981 was initiated by Pro Tect in February 1981, two months after becoming the president of South Arlesbury. The famine hit over 60% of the country's population.
Context[edit | edit source]
Shortly after Pro Tect became president, one of his plans was to ban all food imports to South Arlesbury and create artificial food compounds for the masses.
The South Arlesburian supermarket chain Have-It-All, nationalized in December 1980, had most of its food stalls and sections empty within two months.
