Big Brother is watching you (2000-2003)[edit | edit source]
TV3 had intended to acquire Big Brother, however the channel thought that the format was considered "vile" and passed it on to Four. Four announced that it would premiere "North Arlesbury's real-life soap series" in a time where the Big Brother format started and showed that it had an audience. On September 3, 2000, Four aired its last program under the prior look, the last edition of Live at 7 and, at 8pm, introduced a whole new look and Big Brother, quickly gaining the ratings that evening. Four's new news operation, Four News, premiered the following day.
