The Akami language is the language of the Akami people of northern and central Orience and its shores. It, alongside its southern sister language Furuga, make up the entirety of the Akamic family of languages, however it is highly debated that it is an Altaic language.

Its complex stature and extensive use of phonemes is often refered by ethnic Furugas as "hard Furuga". Most speakers of the language are merpeople.
