Television arrived to Yaniko in October 1961.

Currently there is one broadcaster, Radio and Television of Yaniko, operating two of its channels during the present state of emergency set to last throughout at least March, with television programming limited to a period between 18:45 and 20:15 each evening. As the state of emergency became a nationalist-socialist country, the limited broadcasts continued, with limited increases in time allocation (as of August 15, 2021, 18:45 to 20:19 on RTY channels and 19:00 to 19:15 on commercial channels).

It is expected that, on August 30, the starting time will be pushed back to 18:30, ending at 20:05.
