Television started broadcasting to Manchuria in 1955. The Manchuria Broadcasting Corporation or MHK has held a television monopoly between 1955 and 2019.

Analog terrestrial television[edit | edit source]

This was the standard until 2013. The frequency plan was the same as Orience: channels 1 to 12 for the VHF band and channels 14 to 62 for the UHF band. Manchuria was one of the three countries to use the Oriencian frequency plan for television, the others being Orience and Ishigaki.
