Television was introduced to Armandina in 1953. Today there are eight historical national terrestrial networks and a handful of local networks available. Cable TV is also popular. Since the 1960s, Armandina has produced a whole host of successful telenovelas, most of them were exported to other countries. The leading broadcaster is Telecorporación Armandina, owners of channels 6, 11 and 13, however in recent years, coupled by the new Romagnoli administration, ATC and TV2 have started to regain ground.
