Jessica Mauboy's Galaxy was later included in some releases of Get 'Em Girls as a bonus track. She eventually moved to the Eurectivision Song Contest, first as a guest and then submitting her own entry.
Voting[edit | edit source]
Although this was the first edition of the Eurectivision Song Contest, the limited number of countries (sixteen taking part) allowed the SBU to reinstate the old Eurectivision voting scheme, in which each set of points was announced at once instead of a grouping of 1-7 points given at once and then the 8, 10 and 12 point groups.
The Northulian points were hosted by Lee Lin Chin, who would later become the Northulian spokesperson for the Eurectivision Song Contest. Oddly enough, the Northulian broadcast was pooled between the main channels of SBS and the NNB. Eventually the NNB gained a complete monopoly of the contest.
Other countries[edit | edit source]
Active SBU members[edit | edit source]
- Aoshi: ABC wanted to take part in the first contest, but by the time they applied to join the contest, all sixteen countries were set.
- Bengalia: MCOB Channel 9 aired the contest live, yet hoped to take part in a future edition.
