Rangeedu
Rangeedu is the capital of the Xalxas Autonomy. It houses an estimated 20,000 people, roughly a third of the local population. It is located inland in the center of the region.
History[edit | edit source]
Rangeedu was, for many years, the center of the Xalxan Kingdom.
Administration[edit | edit source]
Infrastructure[edit | edit source]
Until the late-2000s, much of Rangeedu's infrastructure was primarily out-of-date. Solar power was an issue debated by the Autonomy's government in 2003 with the installation of solar panels in some buildings to prevent a negative influence on the consumption of electricity. Eventually, the panels were constructed in 2007.
The city houses the soon-to-be-decommissioned Rangeedu television transmitter. The transmitter was powerful enough to cover the entire autonomy, however was prone to failures in the end of 2018.
Demographics[edit | edit source]
An estimated 40.000 people live in Rangeedu, nearly half of the Autonomy's population. Like the region, a vast majority consists of ethnic Xalxans however a few people of Oriencian or Ishigakian descent are also found.
