Northulian National Broadcaster
The Northulian National Broadcaster (NNB) was founded in 1929 as Northulia's national broadcaster. It is currently principally funded by direct grants from the Northulian government, but is expressly independent of Government and politics. The NNB plays a leading role in journalistic independence and is fundamental in the history of broadcasting in Northulia.
It is inspired on the NBSin the United Kingdom, and was formelry financed by consumer licence fees on broadcasting receivers. Licence fees were abolished in 1973 and replaced principally by direct government grants, as well as revenue from commercial activities related to its core broadcasting mission.
The NNB now provides television, radio, online and mobile services throughout metropolitan and regional Northulia and overseas through Northulia Television International and Radio Northulia. The NNB headquarters is in Lurning, an inner-city suburb of Southgate, New South Wales.
