Last calls for Nyar FM[edit | edit source]

Nyar FM is waiting for hope "by Wednesday evening", as the equipment used to link to the radio transmitter in Rangeedu has been failing since January 16. The Media Development Authority and the Media Regulatory Authority of Lenapore have strict rules regarding radio stations that have been off air for "seamless reasons" and the two-week period is coming to its end. On January 21, the station's "would be" seventh anniversary featured messages of hope for steady recovery.

Nyar FM has been broadcasting intermittently since December 28. The station used to run 24/7 until that date, after that it was forced to reduce its daily schedule to 16 hours a day. The team believes that "Nyar FM will die when the link dies". Source: XBC

Nyar FM recovery and shutdown deadline extended[edit | edit source]

The regulatory authorities have announced that Nyar FM is under "special treatments", as it will find a way to continue using the link between its facilities and the transmitter. The owner of Nyar FM reassures that "the shutdown might still be this year". When it resumes operation, it will be for six hours a day, in order to keep the temporary measure viable. Source: XBC

Wangjia announces invasion of Kotaro[edit | edit source]

The government of Porowon announces that it will initiate an attempt to invade Great Scorria, whose easternmost state, Kotaro, was the center of a terrorist attack by Peter Joro, a relative of George Wangjia. The invasion will take place in mid-March, on the first anniversary of the attacks. Great Scorria's federal government is trying to revert the situation once it happens. Source: SBS

Portsmouth player accused of Koknism[edit | edit source]

Peter Spates, a Portsmouth FC player of South Arlesburian background, has been pejoratively named a "Kokni" by the rival team, Victory Durwellington, at a match last evening in Durwellington. A video has been circulating where a huge chorus of Victory Durwellington supporters repeatedly use the word "kokni", a word that is still used pejoratively to refer to South Arlesburians, whose usage stemmed from the mass immigration of them in the years of Pro Tect. This is not the first time Peter is a victim of such an incident; as of 2020 the governments of both North and South Arlesbury are pushing efforts to reverse the situation, as Kokni is also the name of a language, but with South Arlesbury leaving the Eurectipherian Union, it's a complicated issue. Latest Coronavirus stats as of February 19[edit | edit source]

According to international health organizations and related national organizations, the official number of cases is of 76.029, 74.219 in Kaizhung alone. Lenapore follows with 106, Orience with 90 and Cantonia with 85. Of the six infected in Hopeland, four have been successfully recovered. They were all Kaizhungese immigrants. The virus has spread to Persia, where the two infected died. In Eurectipheria, Hartung still leads with 16 cases, ahead of 12 in Étienne.

March[edit | edit source]

First "anniversary" of the "Massacre of Muslims" unceremonious, but rather symbolic[edit | edit source]

Today marks the first anniversary of the attack caused by Peter Joro, a relative of George Wangjia, who at 1:40pm on that fateful day, began to kill a number of Muslims, totalling 54 at the time of the tragedy. In the same day, another shooting took place in Canterbury in the New Michillies, killing 51. The total of killings, 105, sums up the rising trends of hatred against the so-called "invaders" - Kotaro because of a Porowonian nationalist and Canterbury because of a white supremacist.

At 13:40, people are trying to gather a minute of silence in honor of the deceased. Free-to-air radio and television stations are going too far - they will be off air for 54 minutes. The federal president will deliver a speech and will call on the reform of Great Scorria's news media. They also want to tighten the control of "purgers" from Kotaro. A planned memorial was to be set up in time for the first anniversary of the tragedy, but due to concerns over Kotaro's location, it was canceled - months before the coronavirus outbreak, which at the time of writing, has received thirteen infections and no recovery to date. Eco-Paradise Radio, TV suspended[edit | edit source]

16/03: The Eumoritonian government issued a one-month suspension of Eco-Paradise's broadcasts amid a controversial report screened yesterday following the panic generated by the locals after the first case was reported in the Henleys. Such a report was shown as part of the 7pm news and was followed by the Eco-Paradise news team saying "Do you believe in what we say? We are technically isolated from the rest of the world, we don't even have an airport! Sometimes it just PAYS to live here!". The behavior has been criticized in social media circles and Eco-Paradise radio and television services have been suspended in the outbreak on March 16 at 12:46. The ban will be lifted at the same time on April 16. As a temporary measure, HUB TV's signal started at 14:00, replacing Eco-Paradise Television while the Eco-Paradise Sports carrier went blank. Eco-Paradise FM switched to HUB FM at the same time and Eumoritonian Flair to Radio Active. The relays of Radio National and THK World remain unaffected. In the interim period between the suspension and the takeover by HUB TV, Eco-Paradise Television broadcast a complaint message. When broadcasts will resume, Eco-Paradise Broadcasting will be in danger until the end of the year. In the case of another forfeiture, regardless of magnitude, Eco-Paradise Broadcasting will have its licenses suspended. Source: Eumorimedia
