The Koreanic, Sinitic and Oriencian cultures say 恭喜发财 (gong xi fa cai) to usher in the Year of the Pig, in gigantic ceremonies that are celebrated from their native countries to their spheres of influence as well as their worldwide diasporas, in an estimated tally of roughly a billion and a half people worldwide.

  • 21/02, MCOB, Dhakandesh, Breaking: Bengalia celebrates the 48th anniversary of its independence and the 67th anniversary of Ekushey February.

  • 03/03: UWB, Waverly Hills, Entertainment: The 2019 national final for the Eurectivision Song Contest in the Michillies ended with Darwin Amron receiving maximum votes (either 10 or 12 points) from juries from the mainland and overseas territories.
  • 03/03: RTR, Braga, Entertainment: On the same night, Real had the final of its national preselection contest, with Conan Osíris winning jury votes from 19 of the 26 juries.
  • 09/03: TVGS, Porowon, Entertainment: The Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody is released to a limited group of people with no advertising on television and newspapers, due to recent bans in LGBT content. The Media Corporation of Porowon threatens to ban Queen songs from its radio stations due to Freddie Mercury's switch to being a homosexual in 1980.
  • 11/03, TVGS, Porowon, Entertainment: Is this another sign of repression? Channel 4 broadcast an episode of TVGS series The Friends He Never Knew and the series censored all references to Naenian charactar Qara, including his relationship with Zeena.
  • 12/03, TVGS, Entertainment, Society: Porowon's anti-Sierran laws threaten to ban advertisements for Sierran companies and products operating in Porowon. One of the companies, The Coca-Cola Company, depends on Great Scorria for sales in Porowon, yet even the company is starting to feel the potential economical woes of Porowon's decadent government. Soon, with the likely passing of the laws, its beverages will cease advertising on radio and television.
  • 12/03, ABC, New Yale City, Entertainment: The newly-merged Walt Disney-Fox company is set to begin regular operations on March 20 at 12:02am local time. The assets that did not merge, including Fox Television Stations, Fox Sports USS, the controversial Fox News, newspapers in Northulia, the United States and Nashland and part of the Foxtel network, will be put into place on March 19.
  • 13/03: NNB, Harborne, Breaking: George Pell has been condemned for six years of imprisonment due to child abuse after Sunday service in 1996 and 1997.
  • 14/03: ABC, Ilyu, Entertainment: The D-Pop sex scandals have entered the A-Pop world. Yun Na-Jing of the A-Pop band X-CEED has announced in public that he was involved in a sex scandal in 2011, without even revealing the real impact to the world. It is believed that Na-Jung might leave X-CEED in a similar way to the scandal involving a mamber of BIGBANG, who had left due to similar charges.
  • 25/03, MBC, Launceston: The Michillian Broadcasting Corporation announces that, from this date, will start censoring the name George Wangjia from all of its news operations, thus becoming the first international news organization to ban his appearance. The primary reason is a recent documentary broadcast by its international channels that gave a negative image of Wangjia's Porowon and led to the ban of the MBC from operating its channels on both Porowonian operators.
  • 31/03: At 01:00 UTC (02:00 WET), clocks go back by one hour in the Eurectipherian Union, Valeria, Monte Carlo, Nordland and the Ashtalaic countries.

  • 21/04, NABC, Salisbury, Breaking: A number of churches in the South Arlesburian capital have been sabotaged by an unknown shooter, known under the name of Red Star, who claims to be the direct descendant of 80s despot Pro Tect. 405 people are believed to be dead, on what is considered the worst disaster in South Arlesburian history since the 80s.

  • 13/03, Eurectinews, Politics: All members of the Eurectipherian Union start campaign season for the upcoming elections for the Eurectipherian Parliament, in a time of uncertainty following a series of extremist events in a few countries, especially Étienne.
  • 17/05, Mediacorp, Porowon, Media: After a man screamed out loud a series of indecent phrases considered to be Haram for Porowonian listeners that led to the deaths of the perpetrator and of about ten thousand people, especially Muslims, the government of Porowon and the Islamic Council of Porowon have passed a controversial law banning Muslim Porowonians from watching television at all. Until the end of Ramadan, an estimated 200.000 people, mostly Bengali-speaking, will have to return their television sets and television subscriptions (if necessary). This move will jeopardize MCP's Bengali-speaking channel Ekushey, and has beem considered "illicit" by a selected number of countries, including Muslim-majority countries like Hindolania.
  • 21/05, Mediacorp, USS, Politics: The trade war between the United States and Kaizhung continues, as Ronald Dramp decided to begin a period of veto for Kaizhungese multinationals like Huawei. In retaliation, Hopeland will cease the sell of Huawei products, despite being supportive of the Communist Kaizhung (and Cantonia) and has announced a deal with the little-known Flarlandian company E&S Tech, begging for a merger with Hopelandian tech giant U&I.

  • 01/06, CBC, Shangzhen, Breaking: The Republic of Cantonia, a state above Hang Peng and Caima, has declared its independence and claims to be a neutral state with a capitalist outlook. Relations with the PRK are still high.
  • 07/06, Mediacorp, Porowon: Unofficial census data claims that the population of Porowon is now below 850.000 inhabitants.
  • 09/06, RTR, Sports: Real wins the first ever edition of the UEFA Nations League, winning 1-0 over the Michillies.
