Mediacolonization is a process that says that Mediacorp is "colonizing" culture in Lenapore.

History[edit | edit source]

Mediacolonization apparently started existing during the monopoly age and continues to exist as of 2018. The key influence is Mediacorp's growing presence in the local media scene - a fact further boosted by the official adoption of the Mediacorp brand in 2001. Mediacorp's series are watched by millions of people nationwide and even competition is easily crippled, as LPH MediaWorks was defeated by Mediacorp.

Because of Mediacorp's increased dominance in the Lenaporean media scene, Mediacorp is viewed by many as a "flawed monopoly". It controls a large part of the terrestrial radio and television channels in Lenapore.

Mediacolonization and Mediacorp's international expansion[edit | edit source]

The recent international acquisitions of Mediacorp, starting with the oldest television channel in the Malayanese Union, TV7 (Malayanese Union), has triggered a controversial response from the South East Sondrian broadcasting community.
