The Loso Television Broadcasting Authority or LTBA is the national broadcaster of the Loso Republic. It is owned by the government, who also controls two of its prime competitors, ITN and PNN. The LTBA is headquartered in the capital city Ching Phws and broadcasts in a few Loso languages (Green, White and Red Loso), English and Tamil.

It is known that the LTBA standard has decreased in recent years.

History[edit | edit source]

The LTBA started television transmissions on February 15, 1964. It was a minuscule black and white television service covering a few fringes of Ching Phws. The Nashlandian service, TV2 Loso, was a prosperous operation.

In 1974, a Tangwan newspaper reported that the LTBA had limited nationwide coverage (about half the country), using precarious equipment and relied on old films and shows. Changes in the Loso television industry were possible due to changes in the economical regime. In 1979, LTBA acquired the assets of TV2 Loso and merged it with the LTBA. Color broadcasts started on both channels on February 15, 1979, in time with the LTBA's anniversary.

2017 barricade and exoneration of private managers[edit | edit source]

In July 2017, members of the Loso Liberation Party were barricated inside the LTBA's headquarters and were forced to leave the following day.

In November, it was announced that all LTBA channels would be under the management of the TV1, TV2 and Nethra TV team.
