Jeznogoria is an autonomous region of Vydoria.

History[edit | edit source]

Jeznogoria in its current form emerged following a number of territorial skirmishes that led to the set up of independent city-states in Pilva, Ustka and their environs.

Growing autonomy[edit | edit source]

Following the Ashtalaic uprisings that had little to no effect in Vydoria, the Jeznogorian Autonomous Units were reformed in 1979.

Government and politics[edit | edit source]

Jeznogoria as an autonomous region has its own government and constitution, as well as having its own parliament with four political parties, independent from their counterparts in Vydoria proper. Most of these parties have either integrationist or economical views, with integrationism serving as a key to the four countries of the Common Ashtalaic Market. The Fire of Freedom adnimistration in Omdalia led to a period of constrained ties, and in 2020 conflicts between Flarlandians and Ashtalaians caused Jeznogoria to concentrate less on integrationist policies and concentrating more on economical ones.

Referendums[edit | edit source]

Jeznogoria has been prone to referendums regarding its direct integration with Vydoria.

Seccessionist movements[edit | edit source]

Culture[edit | edit source]

One of the aspects that defines the Jeznogorian culture is the fact that, especially in Pilva, there are more influences from Ashtalaia, especially in the language. Jeznogorians aren't mutually intelligible form their counterparts in the rest of Vydoria. Jeznogorians understand Ashtalaian more than Vydorian.

Sports[edit | edit source]

Jeznogoria competes as a separate jurisdiction, having its own sports associations.

Telecommunications[edit | edit source]

Jeznogorijos Telekom is a division of Vydoras Telekom.

Media[edit | edit source]

The state broadcaster is Jeznogorian Radio and Television. The other television channels are dependencies of the channels in Vydoria. VTV 1 has terrestrial coverage in Jeznogoria, in exchange for JRT 1's coverage in Vydoria proper.
