The Ging Ho Paper (Chinese TBA) was a Pakifan weekly newspaper printed in Chinese that existed between 1946 and 2020. The newspaper shut down due to numerous factors, including the 2020 Flarlandian press strike led by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the labelling of such by Flarlandian government authorities as the "Kaizhungese virus" leading to diplomatical incidents.

Its owner, Wei Zhanglou, forbidden to remigrate to the People's Republic of Kaizhung following the shutdown, now lives in Flarland's ally Lenapore.

History[edit | edit source]

It was first published in January 1946 as a monthly publication, upgrading to a fortnightly publication in June that same year. It competed against two other newspapers, the Pakifa Shimbun (still in circulation) and The Pakifan Observer. It initially published news that were of interest to Kaizhungese living in the Pakifas, at the time numbering 10.000. With the downfall of this diaspora in subsequent decades, the newspaper shifted between weekly and fortnightly.
