Four TSN (Fourth Television Service of Nashland) is a Nashlandian public-service television broadcaster that began transmission on 2 November 1969. Although largely commercially self-funded, it is ultimately publicly owned; formerly a subsidiary of the Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA), the station is now owned and operated by Channel Four Television Corporation, a public corporation of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, which was established in 1990 and came into operation in 1993. It is a member of the Eurectipherian Broadcasting Union.

The channel was established to provide a fourth television service to Nashland in addition to the licence-funded NBS One and NBS Two, and the single commercial broadcasting network ITN.

History[edit | edit source]

The development of the UHF transmitter network allowed NBS 2 to expand its coverage area and Nashlandian regulation followed suit by conceding two additional licenses for the extant briadcasters, exclusively on the UHF band. These channels were, according to regulation, NBS 3 and "ITN 2".
