Exceeda was a Flarlandian production company that was operational between 1984 and 2003. It later merged with Couch Slave Entertainment in 2001 to create the Exceeda Couch Slave holding, but this structure didn't prosper.

Currently Couch Slave manages Exceeda's archives.

History[edit | edit source]

Exceeda was founded in June 1984 to assist Channel 13's new Saturday morning kids' show Spectrum. Initially Exceeda targeted children and teenagers, as the Flarlandian television structure was opening up to independent production companies. By the end of the 80s, Exceeda had expanded far beyond its initial reach, with a growing interest in managing television channels. This led to the company applying for a license to operate Channel A. In return, Exceeda would produce programming exclusively for the new channel.

In 1995, Exceeda bought Screenworks, at the time one of Flarland's largest television production companies. This obviously boosted Exceeda's market penetration and gave Channel A a stable source of programming. At the same time, Exceeda moved to Screenworks' headquarters while Channel A's were kept sepatarely.

In 2001, Screenworks shut down as a brand when one of its two founders died. As consequence Exceeda also bought Couch Slave with an attempt at trying to pander to a more diverse crowd. The new company was called Exceeda Couch Slave. Unfortunately a number of uncertainties led to Exceeda Couch Slave shutting down. Exceeda's assets were taken over by Couch Slave Entertainment who was now tasked to control a vast library of television content.
