The Eurectivision Song Contest 2019 will be the 64th edition of the Eurectivision Song Contest. The contest is scheduled to take place in Launceston, Michillies following their victory in the previous contest with the song "Fuego", performed by Eleni Foureira. The contest will be held at the Launceston United Stadium; the show will consist of two semi-finals on 14 and 16 May and the final on 18 May.

Masria will take part in the contest for the first time. The last time an Arabic-speaking country took part was Maghrebia in the 1980 contest, supposedly to fill the void left by Asrael when the winner withdrawed. Ragora withdrew due to budget issues.

Other countries[edit | edit source]

Active EBU members[edit | edit source]

  • Lourkastein: In July 2018, RTL announced that it won't take part in the 2019 contest. It last took part in 1993. The Lourkasteinese operations currently concentrate on Luxembourgish-language media, and that a new participation in the contest would give added value to their language and culture, but experts say that the country wouldn't get past the semi-final, similarly to Monte Carlo.
  • South Arlesbury: Continuing political crisis has lead to the SABC's withdrawal from the 2019 edition in July 2018.
  • Sri Britain: Despite changing its name to MCSB (Media Corporation of Sri Britain), the new corporation doesn't have "enough means" of sending an artist to the competition.

Associate EBU members[edit | edit source]

  • Kaizhung: The country has been blocked from broadcasting the Eurectivision Song Contest, as last year's experiment was proven to be problematic due to censorship of LGBT content as approved by the SARFT. Foreign broadcasters assured "worldwide coverage" of the event on their international channels even though they might be subject to censorship laws.
  • Keithland: The contest will air live on the Omni Television network of ethnic channels.
  • Lenapore: LPBS 1 will broadcast the semi-finals and the final live with same-day repeats.
  • Orience: THK BS Premium will broadcast the semi-finals and the final live with same-day repeats.
