Eurectinews is a multilingual news media service, headquartered in Étienne. Created in 1993, it aims to cover world news from a pan-Eurectipherian perspective.

The channel is backed by public broadcasters from twenty countries. Since 2017, most of these broadcasters are on part responsible for the production of separate language channels. This new structure gives Eurectinews a more "culturally appropriate" approach.

History[edit | edit source]

Reforms and possible move[edit | edit source]

In 2018, the Euronews consortium, having earned a success after splitting the feeds by language, has proceeded to a series of reforms that will change its structure. The channel would now broadcast longer presenter-led programs, and broadcast in one language, rather than being broadcast in a standardized language and being voiceovered for the remaining languages.

Services[edit | edit source]

Eurectinews broadcasts a television channel in the following languages:

  • English
  • French
  • German
  • Spanish
  • Italian
  • Portuguese
  • Russian
