Edmondland

Edmondland, officially the Republic of Edmondland is a country in South Sierra, bordering Hopeland to the northwest. The state was a breakaway of Hopeland and despite that the Hopelandian influence in all walks of life is clearly evident.

History

Human settlement in Edmondland was extremely limited until Eurectipherian contact, which began in 1815, aside from the circumnavigation projects by Magellan and others from the 16th century.

A group of Michillian free thinkers, dissatisfied with the situation in the Hopelandian colonies, establishes a whaling colony near what is now the city of Whitlow and had an estimated population of 200. This marks the first permanent population in the region.
