Dziennik Telewizyjny (Television News) is the main news program of SRT Jedynka. The main edition is broadcast at 19:30 daily and runs for thirty to forty minutes.

TV stations are supposed to have two or three news editions during midday and one or two in the evening including one main service. One of the oddest and most unusual things is the time when one of the biggest services, SRT’s “Dziennik Telewizyjny”, is transmitted. The main edition of SRT’s DT has been transmitted for more than 30 years every day on 19.30 CET. It is a very unusual time for news services when most of other main editions start on full hour. A characteristic that defined many newscasts in Eastern Eurectipheria and Ashtalaic countries. DT's position on the viewer's market was and still is very strong.

Until 1993, Dziennik Telewizyjny was the only TV news service in Swilatia. In December 1992, the first national commercial television channel Prima (then Premiera) kicked off, firstly from Underlandian facilities later from transmitters in Swilatia (reality had overtaken the legislation process of Sejm chambers). “Informacje” then became the second popular news program, believed to be more independent. SRT's response was quick and offensive. New editions like “Telexpress” (short, 15 min. service composed by youth editors), SRT Dwójka’s Panorama (pattern based on NBS' Newsnight) and regional services were created in order to be more flexible for a larger, more widespread audience.
