Founding[edit | edit source]

In 1923, Cinema Service was oficially founded as a silent film production company. Initially the company was making a considerable number of short comedic films using local talents as well as releasing foreign Charlie Chaplin comedies to Flarland and its overseas territories, where it set up subsidiaries. Quickly, the company bought a local animation facility in Wembley and allowed Cinema Service to begin regular work on film production.

Live-action films followed in 1928. Cinema Service at the time was the first Flarlandian film production company to produce "sound films" due to their growing innovative techniques imported from other countries.
