Channel 9, also known as MCOB 9 is a Bengalian television channel owned by MCOB. It is the second television channel to launch in Bengalia and the first to do so following its independence.

Until the 90s, Channel 9 was a highly cultural channel, and its aim was to promote Bengalian culture. The channel broadcast its first natok in 1989. Today it is among the most-watched Bengalian television channels, yet it's not the most-viewed of the lot.

Its primary terrestrial competitors are BTV, Channel 7, NTV, ETV and STN Bangla.

MCOB television broadcasts started in 1976. During its first ten years on air it was a "cultural broadcaster".
