Canal 11 (formerly TV11) is a youth-skewing television channel owned by Telecorporación Armandina. The channel started in 2006 under independent onwership and had a female-oriented lineup, but upon being acquired by TCA, its profile changed largely because the profile it had was similar to that of Canal 6.

History[edit | edit source]

UNACA[edit | edit source]

In the mid-1960s, following the start of INT, UNACA tried applying for the channel 11 license. An experimental broadcast started in October 1965, but had the license revoked in February 1966 by the then-president Romagnoli.

Licenses for channels 9 and 11[edit | edit source]

In 2000, the Armandine government started a bidding program for channels 9 and 11 that were given to Sanhuezo in 1976. The two new licenses were to be given to new companies, instead of companies that already operated on television.
